  Night crew service could be disrespectful. I could not believe the woman packing groceries called me names because I asked her if they were open 24hrs. Some how she found the question unpleasant, but she crossed the line. I pay part of their salary and that of their manager and I expect a little professionalism even if is just coming from a Safeway clerk. Cant wait till they get sold and new fresh crew (hopefully with at least high school education) is hired.

  After having a bad experience here I needed to speak to the manager. I go to the service desk, ask to speak to the manager, woman at the counter says "oh, you just missed him, he's gone for coffee for 15 minutes". Not impressed that I'm less important than his coffee but whatever, bad policy I can't fix, so I'll just go over to the Starbucks booth and buy one while I wait..."Oh sorry sir, we're all out, I'm just brewing another pot"
  
  Now I'm really not impressed. Just a tip Safeway, if you care, which I doubt, don't tell your customers management's at coffee, just say they're busy or tied up for a few minutes. Duh! BTW, after 30 years as a loyal customer, Save-On free coffee is looking better and I'm sure their manager will get off his azz when needed.

  I must say that all of the permanent employees of the Peninsula Village Safeway Pharmacy are very kind & helpful, but there are two that have frequently gone above & beyond.
  Farzad is like a ray of sunshine with his wonderful smile, his quiet & gentle manner & his ability to always make me as a customer, feel important. This is why I keep going back to Safeway.
  Zahir is also very caring & diligent. My Mom is 89 & she puts her total trust in Zahir. He is extremely knowledgeable & she feels he really cares about her. He keeps a keen eye on all of the medications she is taking, to the point of even phoning her Dr. once to clarify a medication, so that it did not conflict with her other meds. I have also called him to ask if it was O.K. to give my Mom cold medicine or an Adavan prior to a surgery. He always takes the time to check & explain to us, so I
  understand why she thinks so highly of him. I certainly hope that both of these great staff stay at this store for a long time! Maybe a raise is in order!
